Samsung Galaxy S24 FE disassembled online: new Exynos 2400 chip, improved evaporation chamber and 8.5/10 repairability score

Oct 15, 2024

Last week, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 FE, which has already attracted attention thanks to several key updates.

The 2024 model has a larger 6.7-inch display and a new Exynos 2400e chipset, which replaces the previous Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. These changes are accompanied by an improved evaporation camera that is 10% larger and a new 4700mAh battery.

Opening the device, you can see that the layout is similar to the S23 FE. The heat spreader on the motherboard hides the Exynos 2400 chip, and graphite film and thermal paste help to dissipate heat. The battery, thanks to an improved design, is easy to remove, giving access to the new evaporation chamber.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE received a repairability score of 8.5 out of 10, similar to the S23 FE. This is due to some difficulties in design, screen replacement, and parts supply.

Samsung promises to support the phone for 7 years, including component availability. A self-repair programme for the S24 series will be available in about a year.
