Titanium Theatre in Southington transforms into event hall
SOUTHINGTON - Titanium Theatre, the passion project of owner Denise Rivera, has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years as she transformed the space from a former auto parts store into a dance studio and now an event hall.
Rivera purchased the building at 447 N. Main St in 2013 and began renovating it over time, room by room. She initially opened it as a dance studio in 2015 and has since shifted to an event hall for banquets, weddings and other special events. The venue now includes three rooms to accommodate large parties, two bar areas and a tavern. Titanium Theatre also features a full LED lighting system, a dance floor, a juice bar, a fireplace, an outdoor gazebo and more.
Rivera said she is proud of her efforts to transform the space.
"When I first saw it, it was an ugly, broken-down building but I had a vision and I knew that I wanted to turn it into something," Rivera said. "It has been a lot of blood, sweat and tears. In addition to interior renovations, I added a wrap-around deck and a gazebo to have a nice place to take pictures."
